The musicosophia-method is a listening method which was specially developed for the musical layman. The starting point, understanding music as a whole, can also open new dimensions for musicians.
By means of repeated listening the musicosophia-method progresses in the natural musical talent of man: singing and humming, discerning the various moods, the observing of forms, parts and structures, and the recognizing of the intrinsic refinement.
On the basis of the preceding listening experiences gestures are developed, which aim at the melodies and structures of a piece of music.
A survey of the steps to learn to understand the music:
- becoming aware of the first impressions
- singing and humming along
- asking the music questions
- discerning moods
- discovering the musical architecture of a piece of music
- understanding the relationship of the musical architecture
- expressing the melodies and structures by means of gestures (called ´meloritmie´)
- music meditation
The courses are based on selected masterpieces of the Gregorian music, via Bach, Mozart, Beethoven to the modern music.
